Bramvia — Business Central Experts
What a growing pest control company needs from its ERP: technician routes, bait station checks by scanner, service records with product and lot, chemicals by truck, and the reports food-plant customers need for their GFSI audits.
Short answer: a pest control company runs on three things a generic system handles badly: routing technicians, documenting every service (inspection, treatment, product and lot used, bait stations checked) and handing customers the records they need for their own audits. Dedicated field-service apps cover the visit. Business Central adds the company behind it: contracts with recurring billing, collections, chemicals stocked by truck, multi-branch accounting and real profitability per contract. Our group has built a pest control solution with bait station checks by optical reading from a handheld, GPS routes, non-conformity management and automatic service documentation.
Sound familiar?
- Service tickets arrive as photos and someone retypes them at night.
- A food-plant customer's SQF or BRCGS audit means days of pulling records.
- You can't tell which contracts make money once drive time is counted.
- Chemical stock on the trucks never matches the warehouse.
What the business requires
- Licensing and records: state rules govern applicator licensing and application records, and restricted-use products carry their own record-keeping duties.
- Customer audits: food and pharma plants audited under GFSI schemes such as SQF or BRCGS need trend reports per device, corrective actions and service history on demand.
- Growth: more branches and technicians mean contracts, payroll costs, fleet and inventory that a field app alone doesn't account for.

FAQ
Do I need an ERP or is a field-service app enough? A field app is enough for scheduling and tickets. Once you have several branches, recurring contracts, chemical inventory and your own accounting, two disconnected systems mean double entry and no clear margin per contract.
Can customers get service records without paper? Yes. The record is generated when the technician closes the service, with product, rate and lot, and emailed to the customer.
